Quilting Frenzy

For the last few weeks I was in a quilting frenzy getting quilts done for a local store Cabin Creations by Marina.  They offer very cool log furniture for the rustic home or log cabin.  I had already created the "My Deer" quilt and a small bear lap quilt for the store.  So for the last few weeks I completed two additional quilts, a queen bear quilt, "River Rock Bear" and a queen wolf quilt, "Wolves on the Run".  These quilts are also available for sale on my Etsy site, https://www.etsy.com/shop/QuiltingBeis

Here are few pictures:

This week I will be working on my first mystery quilt "Celtic Solstice".  I will be posting pictures as I receive clues and add progress.

So I guess for the third time I am going to try to blog. . .

I have been doing a lot of quilting.  I am so addicted to beautiful fabric.  I feel like a kid in a toy store when I go into a fabric store.  I have to touch and feel all the fabrics.

I have just set up my Etsy account to sell some of my quilts.  It is strange but I am going to have a hard time letting them go.

These two quilts I made are currently for sale in a log furniture store.

Back From Stampin' Up Convention

Back from the convention.  What a great experience.  I was on the run from the minute I dropped my bags at the hotel.  It was a whirlwind of classes, inspiration and lots of fun.  But I am back, and I am hitting the ground running.  So I am making a commitement to myself to post every day.

Well I will be back soon to post a new card that I am working on.  Until then click the picture below to see how you can earn an extra $25 when hosting an August workshop.

Bloomin' Beautiful

I am a new Stampin' Up Demonstrator.   These two cards were created using a new set of stamps I just received.  It's called Bloomin' Beautiful.  The first card was stamped with one flower, colored with Prisma markers and then clear embosed.  I stamped the second flower, the embossed image resisted the ink from the second impression.  I repeated for the 3rd flower. I did them one a time, to be able to have the purple flower sit in front.

The second card I stamped the image and embossed.  I sponged the background first blocking off the top half of the image to make a table, then blocking off the table and sponging the top.

Bird In Tree

Today's card is a brayer technique that I learned from my Stampin' Up - upline Michelle Zindorf.  She is the ultimate in using a brayer.  This actually turned out, at least to me, with a very Asian feel.
